GrantSolutions to Launch New Recipient Data Insights Risk Management Tool

GrantSolutions is working to develop an exciting new risk management tool, known as Recipient Data Insights, that is set to launch in Fall of 2021. Recipient Data Insights is the result of lessons learned from two previous Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) pilot programs and input from a working group comprised of leaders from grant-making agencies across the Federal government.

For years, many in the Federal grants community have benefited from using the current Recipient Insight Pilot, which gathers key data regarding grant recipients from a variety of data sources, using advanced technologies to streamline processes and save valuable time. Recipient Data Insights will similarly integrate risk management intelligence with the financial assistance award process to support robust, data-driven decision-making.

The enhanced features of Recipient Data Insights include improved data visualizations (in the form of an “at a glance” view of non-profit, payment, and single audit data and easy to read graphs) risk alerts, automated risk checks, planned full integration within the GrantSolutions ecosystem, and more.

Recipient Data Insights also helps agencies maintain compliance by meeting the risk management requirements outlined in Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), meet the internal control requirements established under OMB Circular A-123, and apply the risk management principles outlined in the Performance Management Playbook for Federal Awarding Agencies. It helps agencies meet the changing landscape driven by the GREAT Act, the Evidence Act, and the OPEN Act.

As an anticipated Grants Quality Service Management Office (QSMO) marketplace solution, it will provide another critical shared service for the Federal assistance award community. The Grants QSMO estimates that it takes four hours to manually perform the risk assessments checks and analysis that Recipient Data Insights provides in minutes.

If you are interested in using Recipient Data Insights once the current Recipient Insight pilot program ends in the coming months, please reach out to information@grantsolutions.gov.
