Noteworthy Changes

Coming Soon – Next Generation Announcement Services

In partnership with the National Institute of Health Electronic Research Administration, GrantSolutions is modernizing the Announcement services technology platform, further streamlining core functionality, and improving the navigation experience.  Product improvements will also include enhanced version controls, dynamic Notice of Funding Opportunity templates and tracking, in-line review and comments, as well as configurable review workflows.  Over the next year, Partners will begin using the new services with several Partners on track to on-board for the FY2019 Announcement cycle.

Updating “Recipient Name” on New Notice of Awards
To help Partners comply with the Code of Federal Regulations (2CFR) Mandate; GrantSolutions is working on enhancements to the Type 1 and Type 3 Notice of Award (NOA) PDFs within the system. In the third quarter of FY2018 GrantSolutions will begin automatically populating the “Recipient Name” on the NOA using the legal entity name registered with the DUNS number in SAM.gov. Many Partners currently record different names for the Recipient than the legal name associated with the DUNS number.  To comply and also promote data standardization and minimize Partner and Recipient confusion, GrantSolutions will add an optional “Doing Business As” (DBA) field to the NOA. This DBA label will only display on the NOA if the existing organization name in GrantSolutions is different than the SAM.gov legal name.
