Usability Initiative
To help solve users current operational challenges, GrantSolutions is working to create a user-centric system that prioritizes core grants management business functions and streamlines the processing of grant awards while meeting the needs of GrantSolutions Partners.
Upcoming Releases
The information listed below shares high-level planned system enhancements that address user requests and current operational needs. The enhancements listed will be available to the majority of the GrantSolutions Partnership. Enhancements are listed by the quarter in which GrantSolutions currently plans to release them.
2CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) Revisions
Replace "CFDA" with "Assistance Listing"
The terms “Catalog for Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) number” and “CFDA program title” will be replaced with “Assistance Listings number” and “Assistance Listings program title.”
All Notice of Award (NOA) types within the system that were not previously updated now reflect this updated terminology.
Update Single Audit Information in Recipient Data Insights (RDI)
The threshold for a single or program-specific audit increases from $750,000 to $1,000,000.
These enhancements update the funding level for the next Audit Projected on the Dashboard and Single Audit pages and update language for "Next Audit Projected" and "Submission Date" on the Single Audit page in Recipient Data Insights (RDI).
Additional System Updates
Inactive System Timeout
GrantSolutions has updated the inactive timeout policy from 30 minutes to 15 minutes across the entire ecosystem.
After 10 minutes of no activity on any of your open GrantSolutions system tabs, users will receive a pop-up notification warning that they will be logged out of the system on all tabs in 5 minutes unless they click “Continue.”
Interactive Training Update
In addition to the five Computer-Based Training (CBT) interactive courses already available through the Support and Documentation tab on the Home Page in the system, GrantSolutions recently released three Micro-Learning courses that focus on the most requested sections of the Recipient Action Training course.
The Micro-Learning courses include:
- A Quick Tip: Exploring Grant Details (5 minutes)
- A Quick Tip: Creating Grant Notes (5 minutes)
- A Quick Tip: Managing Amendments (10 minutes)
Upcoming Enhancements
Application & Grant Messages
Previously, "Grant Notes" was used as a catch-all phrase to encompass communications between Grantors and Recipients. The new messages features will replace the existing Application & Grant Notes and will include:
- Bulk actions including Send, Search, Attach, and Download
- Custom note categories to improve file management
- Easy-to-locate documents
- A Notification Center to view the status of unread messages
SAM.gov Proceedings Questions in Recipient Data Insights (RDI)
These questions will be added to the RDI Compliance card on the RDI Dashboard and the Compliance Snapshot PDF. According to the Uniform Guidance, Recipients are required to report matters related to Recipient Integrity and Performance, including civil, criminal, or administrative proceedings, in SAM.gov. Previously, this information was only in SAM.gov.
In addition, FAPIIS is now part of the Responsibility/Qualifications in SAM.gov and will be added to RDI.
